Starting a Blog. But Why? - Pranav's Take

If you are expecting a one liner : I would say, personal branding.
I came across that term for the first time in my college days, since then the idea of building it was stuck in my mind.

Now here comes the bigger version, for those who can read on. [ Oh wait, what? You can’t? C’mon, don’t underestimate yourself, give it a try ;) ]
Let’s start with what a DC movie has never done, character development.
Who am I? (Believe me, writing this is weird)

I am an engineer, a mechanical engineer.
Graduated from VIIT (not VIT). A member of EDC-VIIT (an entrepreneurship cell). My schooling was predominantly from KVGK (yes a Kendriya Vidyalaya), and early primary from BVB. I don’t remember what kind of kid I was in BVB (maybe I was a personal favourite for bullies), but I was definitely the least known kid in my days in KVGK, not a good participator in events, just doing school for the sake of it.
College was a bit different, not too different to make my character extraordinary, but enough to give me a different perspective of life, enough to set me on a different path.
Speaking of perspective, EDC had a part in building that perspective. Yes, it had its highs and lows, but I only remember all the highs :)
After college, I have always strive to be an entrepreneur. It hasn’t worked out yet, but yes, the journey goes on.

Okay, now let's stop here. I have already written the biggest ‘about me’ till date.

Let’s turn back to ‘why blog’

First, for those of you who are not able to catch some cool perspectives and ideas in your busy lives.
Second, for me in the future, looking down at how life has changed, pondering the question what life really is.
Third, to help me master my writing, listening, analyzing and understanding skills, which I think are actually the most important ones for anyone living in the 21st Century. (We can cover-up the ‘why’ in another post)

Now, here comes something extra you need to know,

What you can expect

Thoughts and Ideas on Emerging Technology, Lessons of Life, Business and Economics shuffled in a perfect way to help you taste the diverse flavors of life.

Plus, you can expect to be part of a community wherein the audience can engage and brainstorm within the network on some great ideas.

The idea to make it different

Maybe rather than a conventional blog, this one could be more of a conversation or a start of a conversation.

How and When

I won’t be the sole contributor and you can expect a bipartite effort in the beginning of the blog (Jayesh Nair will be handling the other helm), we do see a bigger team in the future trying to tap into maybe, voice and video. We are even considering participation from guest content writers.
Variety of content creators will promote diverse stories, different perspectives which will in-turn help the readers.

Personally, I will be concentrating more on Life, Business and Economics, maybe diving specifically into case studies in the future.
Jayesh will have some of his own genres, which he will be communicating like I did.

In addition we will always be open to suggestions from you. In fact, we want the call to action of this writing to be suggestions from you!
So, drop a comment what you want us to research on or what genres you like to read.

Now, to the final question, When will the blog start?

Well, it has started now.
If you are expecting a proper flow and periodic content, maybe from the second month of the next decade.

PS : If you would like to join the team. Let’s talk we are open to discussions.

Why we need Definite Optimists and How you can be one

If you are an average college student like me, the day to day life might look something like this: You’d (probably) go to your college daily, hang out with friends, maybe get your mind blown away by realizing that the days pass away ever so slowly but the semester ends too soon and be annoyed at that one guy who asks everyone,” Bro, what are your plans for the future?”(me). Let’s take a step back from this, try and do this exercise with me. Visualize yourself after a week’s time, what can you see yourself doing? What do you think you’ll be spending your time working on? What do you think you’ve gained? What would you be looking forward to? When I first did this exercise I was scared shit of the fact that I couldn't visualize my time and goals past a week or two. If you think that’s scary, how about thinking 6 months ahead or a year ahead? I'd be graduating from college in 2020 and I really can't visualize myself acting upon anything up till May 2020 or beyond(except ...

Electronics market in India: The Government

This article comes as a necessity to analyze India’s electronics market potential post the recent ‘AtmaNirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Make In India’ movements. Though COVID-19 has been a disaster for the economy as well as to the way of life, it has built-up a pedestal to consider local products and reconfigure supply chains to avoid future disruptions. The COVID-19 period has changed the perspective of many due to clearly defined changes in work culture, healthcare, and retail. So much that we can see an increase in the use of keywords — ‘pre-COVID’ and ‘post-COVID’. To get a better overview of what situation we are in and what must be our future moves, I spent a few hours googling and here’s what I found: There is particularly a lot to talk about when we consider a wide topic as 'a market', to limit the complexity this essay only goes through government initiatives and numbers. Future parts will dive more into technologies and desi industries. IBEF: A 2015 India Brand Equ...
